Diverse barriers to employment and how to address them

People experience homelessness for many reasons including financial insecurity, a lack of affordable housing, and difficulty accessing services such as medical care. The risk for homelessness is especially high among certain groups including low-income families, disadvantaged youth, older adults not yet eligible for Social Security, military veterans, individuals with criminal backgrounds, and individuals with disabling conditions.

This report highlights the needs and barriers that different groups of people who experience homelessness might be facing.
